Missed Playgroup

On Monday, we were supposed to go to our new playgroup. Every fall, the MOMS Club Playgroups get reconfigured, and Monday was supposed to be our first meeting. Well, I guess everyone else went, we didn't make it... I think it may be a problem in the future, too. Keira is still napping at least four times a day, and she always seems to be asleep during the midmorning time when playgroup meets. I don't believe in waking a sleeping baby, and even if I did, I don't think it would be worth it. She does so poorly in the car, as it is. I can't imagine what it would be like if I woke her up and strapped her in.

We were scheduled to meet at 10:00. When Keira was still asleep after 10:30, I emailed the playgroup to fill them in. We did venture out to the park in Senoia, but it was well past 11:00 by the time we got there. Everyone had already left. We stayed and played anyway, and I got my first taste of bringing two to the park by myself. Keira spent most of her time in the Baby Bjorn, or nursing, or being changed (or course she had a blow out.) Eli had a ball, even though, because of necessity, I couldn't play as much as I usually do.

His favorite part of being alone at the park was climbing up the slides. We only let him do this if no one else is around. He thinks it's a treat.
