Once again, I've done a doozy on my ankle. On Wednesday, March 24th I fell while walking with the kids on the golf cart trails. Fortunately, Eli and Keira weren't hurt even though I ended up pulling the stroller down with me. But, I was so worried about them that I didn't even make a peep when I fell. It's funny what motherhood does to you. :) A wonderful elderly couple helped us get home on their golf cart and then our amazing families chipped in once again to help us get through those first couple days. I'm feeling fine now. Although, I still have to elevate it when I get the chance. Which is why it's taken me so long to post anything. Any down time that I have had I've spent laying on the couch, resting.
There have been several fortuante things about this injury. First, I didn't dislodge any of the pins that were put in six+ years ago with my ankle surgery. Also, I was given a walking cast. I was having visions of parenting via crutches and a wheelchair, so the walking cast was a huge sigh of relief. Finally, Grammie bought us a golf cart. Thanks so much! And, this generous gift couldn't have come at a better time. I injured my right ankle, so I'm not driving. But, I am able to get around in the golf cart. The kids and I have had an absolute ball. The weather has been gorgeous, and from the golf cart I'm appreciating the beauty and magic of where we live, once again. Both kids are much happier riding in the golf cart than in the car. It's been great. I took this picture of the kids on the golf cart on one of our cold mornings, but generally we've been going out without the winter hats or blankets. In fact, we've even broken out the shorts as the weather has been so beautiful.

Of course, I have A LOT of catching up to do in terms of the Blog, but I figure I'd better keep this short and post quickly since I haven't posted in so long. Much more later...
