Another wonderful part of her temperment is that she generally wakes up happy. If I get up before she does, when she wakes up, I'll usually find her cooing and grinning at her fan. Mainly, I pick her up because I miss her and need to change her pants, not because she's complaining. I think she might hang out by herself for thirty minutes if I let her. In fact, I'm able to get in my yoga while she's awake. I move her from her vibrating chair, to her crib for mobile time, or into her swing and I can get in a 45 minute workout. With the exception of her witching hour at night and car rides she is so easy going and mellow. Thank God!

Grammie, Babo, Uncle Brian, Ms. Kathryn, and Aunt Seana all took the boat to the middle of Lake Burton to watch the fireworks. Since Eli is NOT a fan of loud noises, we opted out. Instead, Eli and I watched the fireworks display from the comfort of a chaise lounge chair on the screen porch. Daddy was laying down with Keira in the bedroom, safely away from most of the noise. Eli surprised me in that he sat through the whole firework show and only mildly complained about the noise at the end, at which point I covered his ears with my hands. That seemed to do the trick. In fact, he did so well as compared to the past, that I was almost disappointed that we didn't accompany the rest of the family. But, it turns out we made the right decision. I guess the acoustics of the fireworks show was incredibly loud in the middle of the lake, almost too loud even for adult ears.
