Disney World, Part II -- Magic Kingdom Surprise

Our biggest surprise of the day at the Magic Kingdom was when Dendi, Bapa, Uncle Jason, and Auntie Andrea arrived. Scottie knew they were coming, but it was a big surprise to the rest of us. With such a big group, we quickly broke up into smaller groups to experience different parts of the park. First, Dendi stood in line with Keira and I to meet Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. After our two successful character visits that morning and fresh off the Winnie the Pooh ride, Keira was pumped to meet them. She danced, jumped and wiggled her way through the line. Yet, after all that anticipation, once we got to the front of the line she wasn't having it.




A little later, Uncle Jason, Elijah, Dendi and Auntie Andrea went on the rockets together. Uncle Jason thoughtfully put his hands over Eli's ears as Eli's not a fan of the hydraulic sound that the rockets make as they are lifting off. Looks like they had a ball.




In yet another configuration, Uncle Jason, Auntie Andrea, Keira and I went on the Winnie the Pooh ride together (which was another one of Keira's favorites), then we waited in the Winnie the Pooh line again and successfully met the two characters. After spending almost an hour with them, Keira was extremely comfortable with Uncle Jason. It was nice since she usually balks at any physical contact with men besides Daddy.



Another surprise of the day was Splash Mountain. Elijah was finally tall enough to ride. Even though he was nervous, he decided to try it with Daddy. He loved it! Daddy and Elijah rode three times. Most excitedly, for me, I even got to ride with Daddy and Elijah once. It was a special treat to have Dendi around to watch Keira so that I could go on a "big boy ride" with my big boy. :)
