Our Month Old Doctor

Keira was six weeks yesterday, and in the interest of catching up, or starting to... here are some pictures of Keira when she was almost a month old. These pictures were taken on June 9th. Before Keira was born, my mom found these newborn baby scrubs at the thrift store. So, when she was almost a month old, I finally got around to writing her information on them and taking some pictures.


In these pictures, you can see Keira's crooked smile. She smiled the first time right around this time, when she was almost a month old. She smiled at me first, then quickly she smiled at Eli, Scott and my mom. She now smiles all the time.




Shortly after the first pictures, I took some more pictures of Keira sleeping in her blue vibrating chair. It made me laugh, it looked like she was sleeping off her long night in the OR. She loves that chair. She is still sleeping with us at night. During the day she naps mostly in her blue chair or in her swing. Right now, she's asleep on my lap on the Boppy, after having nursed. I'm multi-talented -- nursing and blogging at the same time. :) I've tried putting her down in her crib or her bassinet, but since I have to put her down on her back, she always startles herself awake. I think if I could put her to sleep on her tummy she'd probably be able to sleep in her crib, but it isn't worth the anxiety of SIDS.
